Summer Fayre June 2012

This page contains photographs of the Summer Fayre, held in June 2012.  This year’s Summer Fete was again a great success; we did think the downpour just 20 minutes before the fete was opened would spoil all the hard work and efforts by the parish but no, we were blessed and the weather kept dry for the remainder of the day.

The fete was opened ceremoniously by Stoke City Legend Terry Conroy; we had various stalls and activities, something for everyone to enjoy young and old alike, delicious cakes, a wonderful bottle stall, bric–a-brac, books, the Stoke City football club mascot, a barbecue and many more stalls to enjoy.

We made an astonishing £1,271 on the raffle and £1,541 on the fete. Every penny will go to reducing our church debt, which is now, after the fete and thanks to all your efforts, down to £2,000!  An amazing achievement.

I wish to say a huge “Thank you” to every person who contributed to the success of the day; the fundraising committee for their hard work organising the fete, your generous donations whether you donated or purchased or both on the day; it  is extremely appreciated. A church community and family is an important asset to the success of the sustainability of our parish church.
